Donating to Generation Inspiration

Donate

Generation Inspiration is a nonprofit organization: The Generation Inspiration Board & Mentors raise all of the money for scholarships, expenses & activities on their own. Additionally they personally go out and find the right opportunities to better Gainesville - Hall County.

Donating to Generation Inspiration comes in many shapes and sizes. We have the utmost respect and love for individuals willing to promote our vision. Our donors are the backbone of what makes Generation Inspiration possible, - what allows us to provide a better future for aspiring young adults. Below you will see multiple ways that you can donate to our cause, specific scholarship requests, past scholarships awarded, and details on what it means to be a donor.

We help build leaders in two primary ways:

1. Through our Summer Leadership Academy

2. Through awarding our Next Step Scholarship

All donations are tax deductible

Donate to The Next Step Scholarship (Tax Deductible)

The Next Step Scholarship is the final & most important incentive for the carefully selected Gainesville High School students who compete in our Annual Summer Leadership Academy. The whole purpose of the academy is to prep each student for their next step in life, - that next step is different for every student. While one high school student may want to go to SCAD university for graphic design, another's dream will be to attend Emory University to become a surgeon. Whatever our G.I student's next step in life is, we take the time to understand what they want & need, and how our scholarship can facilitate their next step.

We also base a portion of our curriculum on a student by student platform. What one student might need to achieve their next step, the other will need something far different; examples such as technological equipment, college text books, sporting equipment, job shadowing, the right connection in their desired field of study/occupation, and so on and so forth.

Student's are competing for the Next Step Scholarship, which means that it is up to the student to immerse him or herself in our academy and curriculum that they may grow as an individual and leader. Which is exactly how we determine scholarship winners: how much each student grows. Every students comes from a different background & walk of life, some already have leadership experience, some are being exposed to these qualities for the first time.

Donate to The Generation Inspiration Summer Leadership Academy (Tax Deductible)

As mentioned above, our Summer Leadership Academy is the bread and butter of Generation Inspiration. It's how we build young leaders. Listed below are a number of the expenses associated with our program:

  • Expenses for Public Speakers, coaches, teachers, professors, etc.
  • Notebooks, writing supplies, paper/printing, presentation boards etc.
  • Tours & Transportation
  • Amazing Shake Trophy (given at the end of every year to the best G.I student - networker).
  • Graduation Certificate

Our Summer Leadership Academy constantly produces promising leaders in our community. These students not only have a higher rate of going to college compared to the average Gainesville High School Student, they also indulge far more in community service and giving back to the City of Gainesville - during and after they leave high school.

Donate to Project Un-Tag Gainesville & Community Service (Tax Deductible)

Project Un-Tag Gainesville is of great pride to Generation Inspiration. By law the City of Gainesville is not allowed to remove graffiti from private property. Which means that someone else has to do it! And in a community where no one was stepping up to the call. The young leaders of Generation Inspiration answered.

It is very expensive to buy supplies such as paint, brushes, rollers, containers, cleaning material, and so forth on a regular basis. This project is what keeps our city clean, without it Gainesville, GA will fall back into a city riddled with gang graffiti and tagging.

In addition to Un-Tag Gainesville, Generation Inspiration plans and participates in multiple community service and give-back events. Our yearly community service includes: clothing & food drives, mentoring young children, buying meals for the homeless, buying toys for underprivileged kids during Christmas, cleaning up the many parks in Gainesville, spending quality time with the elderly at assisted living homes, as well as other services that are added or changed year by year.
